UNTU PRESIDENT ELECTED AS CHAIRMAN OF THE TRANSNET BARGANING COUNCIL

The United National Transport Union (UNTU) is proud to announce, that their President, Wyndham Evans, 20161116_092239-002was elected as Chairman of the Transnet Bargaining Council yesterday. He will serve for a one year term.

“It is a great honour for me. I have been employed by Transnet for the past 36 years. I believe my experience in the company and the knowledge I gained as a Full-time Trade Union Representative and Executive Council Member of the Union, will help me with the tremendous challenges we face in the current global economy slowdown,” says Mr Evans.

He believes it will be a good learning curve for him.
