The Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA), granted the United National Transport Union (UNTU) three days for its arbitration with the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) regarding the noncompliance of a Settlement Agreement.
The arbitration will be held on 7, 8 and 9 December at the offices of the CCMA in Johannesburg.
This comes after PRASA’s Management failed to attend the conciliation process at the CCMA on time, showing their blatant disrespectful attitude regarding the basic principles of the Collective Bargaining.
Issued on behalf of UNTU by Sonja Carstens, Media and Liaison Officer.
