Labour and Management reconvened today, 3 April 2018 at the Transnet Bargaining Council.
The parties at the Transnet Bargaining Council (TBC) agreed today to postpone the Transnet Wage Negotiations to 12 April 2018.
Due to the public holidays, Organised Labour was not ready to respond to Transnet’s final wage offer given to the parties last week.
Management stated that the final offer will only be on the negotiation table until 12 April 2018. If the parties do not reach agreement by that date, Management will fall back to their previous offer.
The current offer is:
• 6, 5 % for 2018
• 7, 25% for 2019
• 7, 5% for 2020 increased to 7, 75%
• No retrenchments for the next three years
The Housing Allowance has increased as follows: –
• 4, 5% increased to 6, 5 % for 2018
• 4, 5% increased to 7, 25% for 2019
• 4, 5% increased to 7, 75% for 2020
The Medical Aid Allowance has increased as follows: –
• 5, 5% increased to 6, 5 % for 2018
• 6% increased to 7, 25% for 2019
• 6, 5% increased to 7, 75% for 2020
