PRASA has on previous occasions attempted to bypass the relevant case before the CCMA regarding the Unilateral Change of the following policies:
- Policy on Competency Management
- Policy on Employment Equity
- Policy on Human Factors Management
- Policy on Overtime
- Policy on Package Structure
- Policy on Relocation
- Policy on Terminations
- Policy on Volunteerism
The case was set down for today, the 30th of September 2022 at 09h30. The Commissioner, Moahloli Nyama dealt with the case.
It is with great disappointment to state that Management didn’t pitch at the CCMA and the case is postponed for another 30 days. UNTU and SATAWU were present and made our discomfort very clear, as it seems that Management is not interested in settling any disputes from Labour and they do just as it seems to fit, for e.g. changing these 8 (eight) policies without consultation.
We urge all UNTU members/TUR’s to not participate in any discussions regarding these policies on any level.
The 30-day extension was proposed by the Commissioner, and we will keep all members abreast.
UNTU Greetings,
N Haasbroek
