NATIONAL TRANSPORT MOVEMENT (NTM): INTERDICT: INDUSTRIAL ACTION

NATIONAL TRANSPORT MOVEMENT (NTM): INTERDICT: INDUSTRIAL ACTION

We have been informed that Transnet have not been successful in obtaining an interdict against NTM from embarking on Industrial Action. Irrespective of the above. NTM still do NOT have Organizational Rights within Transnet, thus prohibiting them from entrance to Transnet property and stop order facilities.

Notice has been served on Transnet that they intend resuming their industrial action in the near future. UTATU SARWHU members are again seriously informed to refrain from partaking in any form of withholding their services or be allowed to be intimidated or influenced by these desperate people. Where members are intimidated or influenced in any way at all, such behaviour must be reported to your local management as well as UTATU SARWHU Head Office with the full details of the perpetrators.

Members are reminded that this similar action by NTM at Prasarail resulted in the dismissal of several hundred employees who are now in the devastating position of being unemployed in a country where employment opportunities are rather limited.
