The dire global financial meltdown is affecting the discounted rates provided to members of the United National Transport Union (UNTU) by vehicle dealerships, Hyundai Wonderboom and Aurinia Ford.
Hyundai and Ford adjusted its profit margins in 2017, to cater to the pockets of as many customers as possible, on the new models coming out this year. The result is that the profit margins, on some of the new vehicles, are below the R10 000 discounts that dealerships initially offered UNTU members. The dealerships cannot sell the vehicles to UNTU members at a loss, but they are prepared to take a cut on their profits to provide the benefit to members of the Union.
Hyundai Wonderboom and Aurinia Ford will, from today, give UNTU members between R5 000 and R50 000 discounts on new vehicles purchased.
Certain models, like the Hyundai Creta, might be excluded from the UNTU Benefit if so directed by the management of the company.
To utilise the discount, UNTU members need to work through New Vehicle Sales Executive, Ilze Botha at Hyundai Wonderboom or Carl Botha, New Vehicle Sales Executive at Aurinia Ford and e-mail either of them a copy of your UNTU membership card. Your vehicle will be delivered to your nearest Hyundai or Ford branch depending on which new vehicle is bought.
For Hyundai Mrs. Botha can be contacted at salespta3@hyundai.co.za, 082 372 7928, 012 543 0649 or Fax: 0862 149 348
