The Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) is a dispute resolution body established in terms of the Labour Relations Act, who issued Transnet Bargaining Council with a Certificate of accreditation until 3 November 2017.
Wyndham Evans, newly elected chairman of the Transnet Bargaining Council and President of the United National Transport Union (UNTU), explains that any council outside the CCMA needs to be accredited by the CCMA to resolve any disputes that is referred to the council.
