The United National Transport Union (UNTU) is proud to announce that Comrade Alfred Mthethwa was awarded the first Organiser of the Month trophy for recruiting 115 new members in September.
Baba Mthethwa thank you for being a loyal unionist and for setting the example of what an Organiser should do.
UNTU introduced an Organiser of the Month trophy to give praise to our Organisers who ensures that employees of PRASA, Bombela, and Transnet choose UNTU’s by selling the variety of benefits this Unions members enjoy as part of their monthly contributions.
Organisers often are away from home, travel long distances in the demographic area where they are recruiting. They assist members and TUR’s with guidance in grievances, disciplinary hearings and arbitration while working hand in hand with Head Office to identify new recruitment areas and to come up with recruitment incentives.
The Organiser of the Month Award are awarded at the end of each month to the Organiser who recruited the most members during that month.
