UNTU’s THREE OFFICIAL E-MAIL ADDRESSES ENSURES SPEEDY RESPONSE
The United National Transport Union (UNTU) would like to encourage our members to utilize one of our three (3) official
e-mail addresses when members require any form of assistance so that the Union can ensure that members enquiries are attended to as fast as possible.
There is a tendency from members to reply/respond directly to the individual Administrative Staff Member who assisted in distributing a Circular Letter/s (CL’s) via UNTU’s bulk email
communication system, and not to the author of the specific Circular Letter (CL) and/or the Representative/s as specified in some of our Circular Letters (CL’s).
UNTU members also post questions in Messenger on UNTU’s Facebook page. The Administrator of the UNTU Facebook page then directs the members to the official e-mail addresses, which results in an unnecessary delay. This is done to ensure that UNTU ensures accountability of the person who is tasked to respond.
To ensure efficiency, please utilize the following e-mail addresses for the purposes as set out below:
- Headoffice@untu.co.za for all enquiries related to the administration of the Union, communication directed to the General-Secretary, President and Vice-President, as well as claims of trade union representatives and Branches.
- Members@untu.co.za for all enquiries and claims related to Death Benefit, Discretionary Benefit Fund, Maternity Benefit, Tertiary Education Assistance, and Membership Applications.
- Enquiries@untu.co.za for any specific questions on UNTU Circular Letters (CL’s), any information on the Benefits of the Union or suggestions to explore new Benefits, any concerns about Service Delivery, contributions to the Social Pages of the Union and contributions to the Labour Report, the Unions quarterly newspaper.
